Samta Shukla, PhD
Founder and CEO
Samta has spent her career inside the systems that decide access. At Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota she founded the AI function and built its team. At CVS Health she spent five years in senior data science roles, including work on Operation Warp Speed. She led the Prior Authorization Work Group at the Coalition for Health AI. She holds a PhD in computer systems engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master's from the Indian Institute of Science.
She started Marigolds after seeing the same pattern from both sides: evidence and policy moving at different speeds, and patients caught in between.
